slash, tear, cut, shred & burn. . .

eye candy

not adjectives to describe the next horror flick but rather treatments to paper in a new exhibit at MAD, Slash: Paper Under the Knife. A confirmation of the public’s re-found interest in paper as an art form, this show displays out-of-the-ordinary literary pieces, laser cut delicacies and the use of paper in film. On display through April 4, 2010, however starting today a special week-long preview invites you to catch six Slash artists in action as they install their paper works during regular museum hours. See Andreas Kocks, Celio Braga, Michael Velliquette, Tomas Rivas, and Mark Fox assemble their pieces in the Museum’s 4th and 5th floor galleries. Made possible by who other than Kate’s Paperie and also the Angelica Berrie Foundation.
