a blank canvas

One month. I have retreated from Impressed Inc for about one month, how quickly the times goes. I did not purposefully ignore this lovely little blog of mine, I just got burnt out, leaving no room for inspiring others let alone myself. Being kept busy with big birthdays, wedding festivities and travel was about all I could handle with a major work load and then on top of it all – the death of a loved one. I consider myself lucky that I have not had to experience such loss before now. If one keeps moving it doesn’t seem so tolling, however when the noise dies down it can truthfully be quite scary. So it was in AI Friedman the other day that I was shopping and saw canvases were 70% off, I have been wanting a piece of artwork for over my couch and figure this a great opportunity to get my creative juices flowing. And then the epiphany: life really is just a blank canvas. We paint what we wish and if we don’t like it we can wipe it clean and start all over. So this is what I plan to do, pick up my paintbrush, seek inspiration everywhere I turn and paint the most beautiful picture I can. Now of course this is theoretical but for the literal I am hoping it looks a little like these…
