A co-worker on mine forwarded me this invite knowing it would be right up my alley. Designed by the groom, I think this is pure brilliance! I love that the invitation includes the evolution of their courtship. So many couples now-a-days have to deal with distance in their relationship; I can’t believe it took this pair 48, 284 miles to finally come together. Talk about patience!! So much text on the invite could have been daunting, however the typeset choices and shape separations give the invite a welcoming flow. I got a kick out of the rsvp card also. Love the wording “can we get a witness” and the design and text of the postcard slide with directions underneath are great. Kudos to Matt for a unforgettable intro to their wedding. I love love love this invitation!! It is so charming, I have read the whole story 3 times. And I will probably read it again! Matt must be a graphic designer, or something along those lines, because this is brilliant. Congratulations Jill & Matt!!
That is the best wedding invitation I have ever seen!
Wow! This is so impressive and romantic! I can’t wait to see what their phantom baby shower invites will look like. (Jacki – track those down). Maybe they could just add a few lines to the end of this invite. “… and then came baby…” 🙂
OMG this is fantastic. Is there a way to email your posts because I totally want to send this around…!
I know right?!? If you click on the post title you can copy and paste the URL from that exact post. Working on getting e-mail as a tag in the future 🙂 Thanks! xo
[…] This reminded me of Jill & Matt’s wedding invitation which also told a great story through type, see here. […]
