Would I ever! Julian, a restaurant in Kansas City created by James Beard award-winning chef Celina Tio serves up refined twists on comfort food. The name inspiration – Tio’s main cooking influences, Julia Child and her grandfather Julian. The brand identity designed by Brent Anderson, Nathaniel Cooper and Jordan Michael Gray of Bernstein-Rein is nothing short of genius. Congratulations guys on the 2010 Gold Addy Award in the category of Mixed-Media, Local Consumer. Not only is this branding fabulous on the surface but dig deeper to uncover the tasty little details like punchy copy on coasters, take out boxes, and tees, the holed menu holder and peg board, the launch gift of a wooden spoon, the restroom signage, and the chef’s John Hancock on the business card. My only change would be to match the take home bag to the box and make it kraft but that’s just me being nit-picky. Brava fellas!
