Oh how I love thee, breakfast nook! Trying to find a carpenter that can build me such a sweet seating arrangement. Aside from the cozy factor, the #1 reason I love the nook, is that I can also use the box benches for abundant storage that my galley kitchen so desperately lacks.

DIY? Purchase 2 unfinished wood benches, maybe one with a back to act as a wall at $50 each. (Wood Stuff in Norwood have reasonable prices and are always willing to negotiate price) And added long cushions (maybe Pier 1). Voila! Breakfast nook…
